Watermelon Sugar

"In watermelon sugar the deeds were done and done again as my life is done in watermelon sugar. I'll tell you about it because I am here and you are distant. Wherever you are, we must do the best we can. It is so far to travel, and we have nothing here to travel, except watermelon sugar. I hope this works out."

—Richard Brautigan

They've done it again.Out of the crate, it's plumper and juicier... Watermelon Sugar's second release: Something to Savor. The folk duo serves up a great batch of songs. The sweetness of "Smile", the fun of "As Good as I Should Be", the gutso of "Not Going to Miss You". Great politico-folk songs.... tangling of soci-cultural economic grace in "In Common", the humor & horror in both "Republican Shocker" & "Darwin and the Prostitute". Surprises abound: the hypno-dreamy "Trouble", the rock upbeat "See-Saw", the country front-porchness "This Bliss". Truly Something to Savor...mmm, can i have another slice?
Check em out, you'll be glad you did

They'll be playing sweet stuff live: D.C., MD., PA., W.V., VA., N.C.,GA. mostly.
